I have been looking at a lot of different blogs lately and came across this one awhile back. I really did not know what to say about it until now. I had to really check it out and see what other sites it lead to before I commented on it.
I am now ready to comment on it....It is not something God wants for His children. First of all, it is not biblically sound, secondly it is nothing but a site that promotes the Emergement movement which is not from God and mostly it promotes The feminist movement. It leads to sites that belittle men and worse it belittles God and His word. When we come across sites like this, I believe we should reveal them for what they are. It is so sad how men and women have chosen to follow man's ideology and not the the Word of God.
Mark 8:34-3634 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels
Please check this site out..it is really sad.

Let me add a perspective. That site along with all the emergent sites are anti-christ. They are subtle, wrought with the reasoning of man, and they camoflage their true intent by sounding compassionate. We are in the last days and this movement is one that will be used to deceive millions.
My computer started vomiting when I tried to get to that site. It pretty much stopped at number 5 items to download and I had to hit ctrl Atl del to get back out. I'll just take your word for it! :o)
grace and peace and love to you too.
That site along with all the emergent sites are anti-christ.
Yep! And we eat babies too. :D
Mike and Julie,
You make a joke about eating babies, but you have no problem sacrificing the word of God. The emerging church is man changing the word of God to suit his or her needs. It is New Age mumble jumble and it is not of God. It is sad and I Pray that you come to see that.

Hi Rick,
I agree!
Cristina
Hi Sarah,
You can take my word for it *S*

After reading Mike and Julies' comments, I dont need to go see it! I can tell already by their attitudes.
I went and now my blood is boiling! YUCK! So ungodly and so against God's plan!
I started to leave a message at one of the links I found against Bush, but decided not to waste my time there!
We must guard against building a God of our imagination. That is why belief and reliance in the Bible must be solid. It is sad when people construct a God to suit their "needs".
I can't help but think of 2 Tim 4:3,4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
I don't know if I would necessarily say they are anti Christ, but I would say they are off track and out of balance.
They are constucting another Jesus and that by the Bible's own definition is anti-christ. Some hold onto just enough truth to seem evangelical but the emergent movement is deception at its core.
For instance: Picture a boat with ten men rowing on each side. As the boat heads for a gigantic waterfall which will kill all aboard, you will notice some rowers are laboring with full force toward the waterfall while others are only rowing halfheartedly. When the boat goes over the cliff how many are killed?
That's right, all of them. So if some emergent teachers do not seem as "off track" as some others they are all headed for the same destination - destruction. Do not underestimate the deceptive power of the devil, he is far more subtle than he is given credit for. Cling stedfastly to God's Word and reject the new movements even when they sound enticing.
Rick,
I agree whole heartily 100% and they are deceiving others and leading them over the waterfall right along with them.

Thanks for your post. The Emerging Church isn't just something out there that so called discerning Christians are immediately repulsed by, however. I wish it were so. David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, James Dobson, Erwin Lutzer from Moody Bible Institute; we don't think of these guys in the same class, and they aren't Emergent themselves, however, they are endorsing their books and quoting them in their sermons. The CBD catalog and the Christian bookstores are full of their books; this is no longer a fringe movement. Even though I can't understand how a Bible believing Christian could be swayed, the Emergent leaders are a little more careful than the blog you linked to. They tiptoe around and aren't as open about their beliefs, which are the same as this woman's. As Christians today, we MUST familiarize ourselves with their names, who they are and what they believe, so when our teenager brings a Christian book home from church or the library by Rob Bell, for example, they are bringing these ideas with them. We need to know who is who!
Janie, you are exactly right. Deception usually needs a link to the truth in order to claim credibility. One of the names you did not mention is John Piper who not only endorsed an emergent but had him speak at his Desiring God conferences.
Once the deception establishes a link of credibility it is free to lead its listeners further and further away from the truth while still claiming fellowship with orthodoxy.
It will get worse and the leaders of this movement are well mannered and compassionate men who come across as reasonable men who love Jesus. But of course this is exactly what is at the core of deception, the appearance of truth spoken by men who have the appearance of God's approval. Stand guard with love and discernment.
Janie and Rick,
Very good point. Even if you are the most respected preacher/Teacher/writer/
all you have to do is promote one these men or women that represent something that is not of God,and you can loose all kinds of respect and that is when folks start to doubt your credibility. We need to watch who we stand by or befriend.

I didn't mean to hijack your thread here, but this got me to really thinking so I wrote about the same thing on my blog...this is something that really concerns me! Thanks again!
Janie,
no hijacking at all. Plese do.
