GRACE AND MERCY

Amazing Grace and Mercy
The grace of God comes to us in our poor sinful condition and offers us the mercy of God when we deserve His wrath.God shows us mercy and God uses people to show His mercy through them.

God shows mercy in saving us. "According to His mercy,He saved us." Titus 3:5. This is the top-stone of mercy! Here mercy displays itself in all its orient colors. Mercy imercy indeed, when God perfectly refines us from all the lees and dregs of corruption; when our bodies are made like Christ's glorious body, and our souls like the angels.Saving mercy is crowning mercy. It is not merely to be freed from hell—but enthroned in a kingdom! What rich mercy will it be—to fully possess God, to see His smiling face, and to lay in His bosom forever! This will fill us with "a glorious, inexpressible joy!" 1 Peter 1:8. God'ssaving mercy, is the diamond in the ring!

We are all living monuments of God's mercy! He shows mercy to us in daily supplying us. He supplies us with health. Health is the sauce which makes life sweeter. How those who are chained to a sick-bed, would prize this mercy! God supplies us with provisions. "God who fed me all my life long." Gen 48:15. Mercy spreads our tables, and carves for us every bit of bread we eat! We never drink, but in the golden cup of mercy!

" 'Grace' is more than mercy and love, it superadds to them. It denotes, not simply love, but the love of a sovereign, transcendently superior, one that may do what he will, that may wholly choose whether he will love or no. There may be love between equals, and an inferior may love a superior; but love in a superior, and so superior as he may do what he will, in such a one love is called grace: and therefore grace is attributed to princes; they are said to be gracious to their subjects, whereas subjects cannot be gracious to princes. Now God, who is an infinite Sovereign, who might have chosen whether ever He would love us or no, for Him to love us, this is grace." Thomas Goodwin

Sometimes grace is only thought of in salvation, but it is also His grace which takes us through sanctification...trials which we sometimes try to resist. But, despite our resistance, He give us the grace to go through those trials and learn our lessons which sanctify us! Thanks for always reminding us!

I think that "luvvom" summed it up better than I could.

Sarah and Mark,
Thank YOU BOTH for ministering to me. This past year has been a year of struggle for me and it is ending with God's everlasting grace towards me. He has shown His grace and mercy to me in a amazing way and I am at such peace about this struggle, its behind me. He has brought me through and the burden has been lifted and all I can do is fall on my knees and praise my Lord. It is like my spirit has been renewed and I thank the Lord and I thank my dear husband for their love for me. And I am so thankful for dear friends.

Love Cristina
